David Linblad’s FOUND MANUSCRIPT is very much in the vein of HP Lovecraft. I’m not an HP Lovecraft fan, though I do respect his imagination. And none can deny the allure of his mythos of hostile forces beyond reckoning, that wait in those places where reason fails.
Much in the vein of THE STATEMENT OF RANDOLPH CARTER, Linblad’s FOUND MANUSCRIPT is buoyed by having a reader as accomplished and compelling as Wayne June to spin this yarn.
It’s one that demands full attention. You may need to re-listen to passages a couple times to take in the full complexity of the story and the richness of the language. Put on your headphones, kick-up your feet, and enjoy.
