2013’s HAUNTER, directed by Vincenzo Natali and starring Abigail Breslin and Peter Outerbridge (who I constantly confuse with Lance Henricksen) is an innovative, inventive, and smart take on the well worn haunting trope. Stylishly directed, the film however is not without weaknesses, namely its length.
The film at times feels like it is treading water to get to a not terribly original conclusion. That said the film as stated is visually arresting enough to make it worth one viewing if not additional viewings. A solid grade of B-.
